Artist Zena Groover
Zena Chambers Groover is an artist with the First Coast Cultural Center and a student of noted Artist & Instructor, Ellen Diamond. Her painting “Home” was created for her PAM Jam collaboration with Sharon Scholl.
Zena’s life was filled with music and art from the time she began piano lessons as a child. Born in Maryville, Tennessee, she grew up in Jacksonville, Florida where she took painting lessons with a friend at the Museum of Modern Art.
Before that and in order to support herself, she obtained a degree in Nursing, as she loved her science classes and taking care of people. Classes at the First Coast Cultural Center led to travel with Ellen Diamond to Italy for new experiences. Her favorite place of all to sketch and paint is the cabin at Ocean Pond Lake which she and her husband Jack treasured.
